No true. You can get road rash at any speed. As long as you are moving and you skin is exposed and you fall, you can get road rash. So if you fall at 10 MPH on you knees, you will walk away without road rash? Yeah sure. So jump out of the back of a pick up truck at 10 MPH with street clothes on and let me konw what happens. and why? its not really nessicary to wear more than a helmet when doing REAL stunting . not wheelies at 80mph . real stunting is slow speed controlled wheelies, stoppes, rolling burnouts etc. leathers only stop road rash and you wont get that at 10 mph. helmet and gloves shoudl be adequate

i could, but i would still have to register it in norway. then the government takes like $28k in tax. by the way, we pay for each kW. a low-power (106 BHP) will cost about $5k LESS than a full-power (185 BHP) to register. if i buy a 106 hp gsxr it will cost 210k NOK, which is about $35k. if i buy a 185 hp gsxr it will cost 240k NOK, which is about $40k. power is the only difference. ofc many register the bike as 106 but drive full power. illegal tho and insurance wont give u shit if crashed

Man you live in Motorcycle heaven! I've heard Austria has some beautiful scenery with amazing curvy roads! I'm a curves guy as well. I used to hate Ducati from the time they used to dominate AMA Superbike racing denying my beloved Kawasaki ZX7R several titles with Eric Bostrum at helm with the Green Blur! lol! But I have come to really like the bikes, and the color schemes they come in. Ducati does scream Superbike! I'd love to have one, but I'm a loyalist of Kawasaki since childhood!

I really can't decide between the R1 and the Gixxer. Going to buy a new bike in a few months time. I can't put my finger on what it is, but the Ninja and the Fireblade just isn't the right bike for me. I think I'm gonna go with the Gixxer. Ducati hasn't even crossed my mind. I don't fancy them that much, plus here in Norway you would have to pay nearly $60k for a Ducati 1198. Almost a $100k for a Desmosedici. The Japanese are expensive enough tho; about $40k for each of them... Oh well. Im xited

I know you love Ducati, it's an amazing motorcycle! It's the Ferrari or motorcycles! But it's a beauty, but not a beast! more like a mad dog! It's fast, but built for speed in and out of corners, and off other bikes split screens! But in a straitline, it gets smoked by inline 1000 cc bikes. Mainly the ZX10,R1,CBR 1000 Fireblade, and GSX-R 1000. Ducati perfect track bike, but not a speed king!

Bad brakes? The bike is perfectly capable of locking the front wheel up, if you are having trouble stopping maybe try an MSF course? Apply slowly and progressively as the nose dips down. The GS500 doesn't need dual disc brakes, its a light weight bike, they would just be more weight and added stress on the frame.

He said it pretty clearly... A lot of modern bikes have dual discs now, at least sports bikes do. Since 75% of your braking is from your front brakes, you want to have stopping power. There's another side to that. When your brakes are TOO good, you can count on newbies high siding in a panic, and the Gs500 is geared toward newer riders... In the end, if you don't ride like an idiot, you'll be fine, safe and having fun.

This bike look as good or better, i think 9k for a dirt bike is a little steep and the loss after a few years of ownership is also steep. it will ride well on fire roads, not good in any loose sh!t though. bike is tryuley the best in every way. Does not need any more power once a full exhaust is added. If it is power you want buy an aprilla, husky, or ktm. You can hang close with these bikes and it is a lot chaper to buy and a whole lot cheaper to fix!

I too have gone from the standard motorcycle to Burgman 400 and am now making the leap to the Burgman 650. I chose the Burgman for its ease of operation,style,comfort and because Im past the point caring what others think. Im going to the 650 for longer road trips with a passenger. Sorry,I still think the traditional bike is cool, my at my age practical is the new cool. Besides I get a lot of positive comments as well, and yes the women like it to.

I upgraded to maxi scooters from sportbikes and cruisers about 10 yrs ago. So much smoother, lots of storage. Burgman 650 is the best scooter in the world now, and although I love Honda best, the Silverwing doesn't come close to the Burgman 650.

depends what country your from? I am 17 and have a R-E 250CC Licence and a C (Cars Licence) both licences i hold are manual and auto for car and bike. I also have my own 250cc suzuki burgman 2007 model its on my videos if you take a look at the video not very interested but you can see the burgman i have.

not a full licence... depends on the type of bike your planning to get... atm you can really only get a 50cc licence youll move up to a 125 or 250cc licence then after 2 full years will receive your full licence automatically =]
